Arrival at Antonio Nariño Airport in Pasto. Meet and greet, then transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

At the scheduled time, we will begin our tour of one of the most important days of the carnival: the Song to the Earth, Pachamama, a celebration featuring more than a thousand artists on stage. The artistic groups appear along the carnival route, dancing and performing traditional music with wind instruments, bass drums, quenas, and zampoñas, while wearing majestic costumes in vibrant, dazzling colors. During the parade, visitors will have the chance to admire the troupes in all their splendor, as the streets fill with music, dance, and joy inviting everyone to join in, applaud, and actively participate in the festivities. After the parade, we will continue to the workshops of the carnival artisans, where visitors can learn firsthand about the materials used for the floats, the design process, and the inspiration behind the motifs that will be showcased in the Grand Parade on January 6. There will be time for taking photos and talking with the master artisans. During the city tour, visitors will also enjoy the Christmas lights that adorn the streets with festive displays. At the scheduled time, we will begin a roughly two-hour journey from the city of Pasto to Ipiales. Upon arrival, we will continue to the Rumichaca International Bridge, where we will cross the border into Ecuador to visit the Tulcán Cemetery, renowned for its impressive cypress-carved sculptures. In the afternoon, we will head to the township of Las Lajas to descend to the majestic Sanctuary of Our Lady of Las Lajas, home to the image of the Mestizo Virgin. Visitors will be able to experience a moment of spiritual reflection praying, attending Mass, and admiring the sanctuary’s striking architecture. The visit includes access to the museum and the lower levels of the temple, as well as short walks that allow you to enjoy the natural landscape and the energy of the place. Throughout the tour, specialized guides will share the history and the miracles associated with the image and the sanctuary. Overnight stay.

At the scheduled time, we will begin our journey to La Cocha Lagoon, one of the most iconic places in the department of Nariño. We will arrive at the village of El Puerto, where we will take a tour of its picturesque wooden houses adorned with flowers perfect for a photo session. We will then continue by boat to La Corota Island, exploring this beautiful National Natural Park, home to a variety of plant and animal species. Our journey will continue to the Civil Society Reserve in the El Motilón sector, where we will enjoy a traditional lunch in a family-friendly setting. Afterwards, we will take an interpretive walk along the reserve’s trails, learning about its natural and cultural richness. Upon our return, we will enjoy an integration party featuring carnival characters, where we will share music, dance, and Nariño traditions in a lively, engaging atmosphere. Overnight stay.

At the scheduled time, we will head to the Carnival Path to enjoy the Parade, the most iconic and eagerly awaited event of the festivities in Pasto. After a year of work, master artisans present their spectacular floats true works of art that stand over six meters tall, filled with color, creativity, imagination, and joy. The parade becomes a grand collective celebration with music, dance, individual costumes, and performance groups. Foam and talcum powder, traditional symbols of the carnival, fill the streets, inviting everyone to join in and celebrate with enthusiasm. After the parade, we will continue with a visit to the Artisan Carnival, where the region’s main craft techniques are showcased, created by Indigenous communities, farmers, and local artisans. HOTELS

  • DOUBLE ROOM: Confirmed with one double bed. If you prefer two single beds, you must request it in advance, as it is subject to hotel availability and may result in price variations.
  • TRIPLE ROOMS: If three identical beds are required, a specific request must be made at the time of booking. The triple room is priced as a double room with two twin beds plus an additional person sharing a bed, or a sofa bed can be requested depending on the room size and availability.
  • Check-in is from 3:30 PM, and check-out must be completed before 12:00 PM.
