Bus transfer to begin our tour of the Grand Palace in Bangkok, which offers an impressive perspective of the city. Looking toward the horizon, you can see temples and historic buildings like Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Arun, surrounded by modern skyscrapers and bustling streets. In the distance, the Chao Phraya River winds through the city, reflecting the sunlight and providing a tranquil contrast to the urban hustle and bustle; we continue to Chinatown, where narrow, winding streets are filled with street markets, shops, and restaurants displaying a rich blend of Chinese and Thai architecture. The aroma of food mingles with the scent of incense and flowers, creating a unique sensory experience; we proceed to the Flower Market, which becomes a sea of vibrant colors and intense fragrances. Thousands of fresh flowers, from exotic orchids to roses and jasmines, are stacked in neat piles, creating a mosaic of pastel and vibrant tones. We will have a panoramic view of the Parliament building, designed in a traditional Thai architectural style with modern influences, majestically rising over the Chao Phraya River. We will conclude with a view of the Democracy Monument, located in the heart of the city, a symbol of the struggle for democracy and freedom in Thailand. Accommodation.

DAY 4 • BANGKOK
DAY 4 • BANGKOK

Free day. Accommodation. We suggest taking the optional excursion (at an additional cost) "HALF-DAY TEMPLES & ROYAL PALACE": A half-day tour to explore the most important places in Bangkok. We start with Wat Trimitr, an ancient temple whose golden exterior houses the world’s largest solid gold Buddha statue, weighing 5.5 tons and standing 3 meters tall. Passing through Chinatown, we continue to Wat Pho, the grand royal temple complex that houses the 46-meter-long Reclining Buddha and the chedis (tombs) of the kings. One of the oldest temples in Bangkok, Wat Pho was declared a royal monastery during the reign of King Rama I. We finish the tour by visiting the Grand Palace, one of the most beautiful examples of the Siamese courts. It was once used as the residence of the Kings of Thailand. Here, you can admire palaces used for various purposes: the funeral palace, the reception palace, the throne hall, the coronation hall, the house of royal guests, and the marvelous Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Visit to a workshop and jewelry store to explore Thai craftsmanship with the country’s semi-precious stones.

Then, on a boat ride along the Mekong River, we pass through the borders of Myanmar and Laos. Afterward, we continue to Mae Sai, a town on the Myanmar border, located at the northernmost point of Thailand, where we visit the border market. Free time for shopping at the border point.
