In the morning, we will depart for Ica, a picturesque destination located on the southern coast of Peru. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included). Afterwards, we will visit the Plaza de Armas of Ica, where we can admire the main streets that blend the essence of both ancient and modern Ica. We will then continue to the Huacachina Lagoon, known as the “Oasis of America,” a stunning oasis in the middle of the desert, offering views of the impressive dunes surrounding the area. Next, we will embark on an exciting adventure with a buggy ride through the desert dunes. The 45-50 minute ride will allow us to enjoy the magical sand formations. During the ride, we will make stops to practice sandboarding and take photos of the Huacachina Oasis, a perfect place to admire and enjoy the beauty of the landscape. To complete the experience, we will visit a local winery, where we will learn about the production of wine and pisco, two of the region's most iconic products. After the visit, we will return to Lima for the evening and overnight stay at the hotel.

At the designated time, transfer to Lima airport to board the flight to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the morning is free for you to acclimate to the city's altitude. In the afternoon, the excursion begins at the Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park, where we will visit the impressive Sacsayhuamán fortress, famous for its massive rocks, some up to 4 meters high, carefully arranged without the use of mortar. This peaceful and serene site will give us a glimpse of Inca grandeur. We will continue to visit Q'enqo, an ancient temple dedicated to the puma, where we will see a sacrificial altar carved into a monumental rock. Next, we will visit Tambomachay, known as the "sacred fountains," where the Incas are believed to have worshipped water, a vital element for their well-being and health. Along the way, we will have a panoramic view of Puca Pucará, an ancient watchtower that protected the city’s access. We will then head to the Temple of the Sun, also known as Korikancha, an important Inca temple upon which the Convent of Santo Domingo was built. According to legend, the temple was completely covered in gold plates, which amazed the conquistadors. To conclude the afternoon, we will visit the Plaza de Armas in Cusco, where we will enter the Cathedral, home to valuable colonial art, including the famous Cross of the Conquerors. At the end of the tour, return to the hotel for overnight accommodation.

At the designated time, we will head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will visit some of the region’s most iconic archaeological sites. The day will begin in the picturesque town of Chinchero, famous for its weaver women and beautiful colonial architecture. We will stop at a textile center, where we will learn about ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning alpaca wool and have the chance to admire their colorful and intricate textiles. Next, we will visit the Chinchero Archaeological Complex, an important Inca site with agricultural terraces and a charming colonial church built on top of an ancient Inca structure. We will continue to Moray, a fascinating archaeological site known for its large concentric terraces, which are believed to have served as agricultural laboratories to recreate different microclimates and study crops. Here, we will have the opportunity to explore this unique site that showcases the advanced agricultural engineering of the Incas. Later, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in the area. In the afternoon, we will head to Ollantaytambo, an impressive archaeological complex that served as a military, religious, and agricultural center of great importance to the Incas. We will visit the Temple of the Ten Windows, the Baths of the Ñusta, the Temple of the Sun, and other notable sites. The panoramic view from the heights of Ollantaytambo will allow us to capture breathtaking images of the Sacred Valley. Today is the day to visit one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, the majestic Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu. In the morning, we will take a train to Aguas Calientes, the picturesque town at the base of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, a local representative will assist us in boarding the transportation that ascends along a winding path, offering spectacular views of the Urubamba River, which shapes the famous canyon. Once we reach Machu Picchu, we will witness the grandeur of this archaeological site, known for its terraces, stairways, ceremonial spaces, and urban areas, all surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The unique energy of this place will allow us to feel connected to the history and culture of the ancient Incas. During the visit, a local guide will provide a detailed explanation of the history, architecture, and significance of this iconic site. After exploring Machu Picchu, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Aguas Calientes, where we can relax and share our impressions of the experience. We suggest the following optional activities to explore even further the natural and cultural beauty of the region:

  • OPTIONAL 1: Rainbow Mountain - Vinicunca Ausangate (USD 105 per person)

Very early in the morning, we will begin our journey to the South Valley, heading to Phulawasipata, the starting point for our adventure to the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), located about 100 km southeast of Cusco. After a delicious breakfast, we will begin our hike toward the access point, enjoying changing landscapes as we ascend. We will reach an altitude of approximately 5,000 meters above sea level, where we will be amazed by the incredible beauty of the geological formations and the colorful mountain, which contrasts beautifully with the blue sky. Surrounded by the Ausangate Mountain, this mystical place offers a unique experience in the heart of the Andes. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and, after the activity, return to Cusco.

  • OPTIONAL 2: Humantay Lake (USD 105 per person)

In this excursion, we will depart early in the morning for Mollepata, known as “the pantry of the world” for its rich agricultural production. After a brief rest, we will continue our journey to Soraypampa, where we will begin our hike toward the stunning Humantay Lake. During the ascent, we will pass through diverse ecological zones and spectacular landscapes. After approximately an hour and a half of hiking, we will reach 4,200 meters above sea level, where we will be rewarded with the turquoise and crystal-clear waters of the lake, surrounded by the imposing Humantay and Salkantay snow-capped mountains. After admiring this beautiful landscape, we will return to Soraypampa for lunch and then head back to Cusco along the same route.
