DAY 1 • TROMSO

Upon arrival at Tromso Airport, head to the Flybussen bus stop (regular express service from the airport). Please present your voucher to the driver, which will also be valid for the return transfer on the same service. The Flybussen will take you to the city center of Tromso, located about 5 km away. The hotels are within a maximum distance of 200 meters. When checking in (from 3:00 PM), please refer to the welcome letter from Via Hansa & Borealis for information about the meeting time with your guide. Additionally, you can participate in the optional excursion "Tromso Cable Car" (price not included). This activity starts with a short ride from the hotel to the cable car station. From there, we will take a gondola that will take us to 421 meters above sea level in just 4 minutes, where you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Tromso, its islands, mountains, and surrounding fjords. DAY 2 • TROMSO

In the morning, we will take a 3-hour panoramic tour of Tromso. We will begin with an introductory tour of the city, where you will enjoy stunning views of the mountains to the east and south. Tromso, located in a subarctic climate zone, lies at a latitude similar to that of the northern coast of Alaska. During the tour, you will learn about the culture and recent history of the indigenous Sami people. Afterward, we will continue our journey across the island, passing by Lake Prestvatn, home to the Meteorological Institute. We will cross the bridge to the famous Arctic Cathedral, designed by Norwegian architect Jan Inge Hovig. Inaugurated in 1965, this cathedral reflects the nature, culture, and spirituality of northern Norway, with its impressive stained-glass window capturing the essence of the region. "Polaria Museum and University of Tromso Museum" The Polaria Museum is the northernmost aquarium in the world, opened in 1998, and is dedicated to educating about marine life and the frozen waters of the Arctic. At the husky farm, you will meet over 300 Alaska huskies and even visit the puppy pen. DAY 3 • TROMSO - ALTA

During your bus journey to Alta, you will have the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking and vibrant natural scenery. This trip will be a memorable experience that you will surely remember for a long time. The distance between Tromso and Alta is approximately 300 km, and the trip lasts around 8 hours, including two ferry crossings. Lunch (included) will be provided along the way. Upon arrival in Alta, you will check in at your hotel and have the afternoon free to explore the city at your own pace. There is an option to take an optional excursion "Sleigh ride under the Northern Lights"(price not included). This excursion offers a night full of adventure in a warm and cozy setting. At the designated time, we will begin the exciting King Crab Safari, a unique experience considered one of the best in the world. An optional excursion "The King Crab" is available (price not included). You will enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience that takes place from approximately 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This adventure is considered by National Geographic as one of the 25 best activities in the world. It will take you to discover one of the most remarkable wonders of northern Norway, where you’ll have the opportunity to taste one of the most coveted delicacies: the King Crab, which can grow up to two meters in diameter and weigh up to 15 kilograms. Depending on the sea conditions, you may take part in this safari on sleds pulled by snowmobiles over the frozen sea or by boats. Once at sea, divers will deliver this giant directly to you for a close-up view. You will travel 340 km south to the charming Levi, a journey of about 5 hours by coach that will take you through the stunning nature of northern Lapland. During the trip, you'll make a stop at the Juhls Silver Museum, the first jewelry store in Finnmark (founded in 1959), which offers a selection of both traditional and modern jewelry, all made on-site. Additionally, the museum showcases international art and crafts in a unique and charming setting. Once you arrive in Levi, you’ll enter a true winter paradise.
