At the scheduled time, we will begin the tour of Lima's Historic Center, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, where we can appreciate the city's architectural richness. Our first stop will be the Convento de Santo Domingo, an iconic building constructed during Lima's founding, which houses the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, the oldest university in the Americas. Inside, we will find the oldest choirs in the country and a valuable library with over 25,000 books, some printed in the 15th century. In addition, the remains of figures such as Saint Martín de Porres, Saint Juan Masías, and Saint Rose of Lima rest within its walls. As we cross the Plaza Mayor, we will admire the imposing Government and Municipal Palaces and visit the Cathedral, a true historical treasure that houses colonial-era artworks. Later, we will head to the Larco Museum, where we will learn more about the pre-Columbian cultures of Peru, enjoying its fascinating collection of gold, textiles, and erotic pottery, offering us a unique insight into the worldview of the ancient inhabitants of the country. We will also have the opportunity to explore the museum's storage area, where various ceramic art pieces are preserved. Accommodation.
