DAY 2 • MEXICO CITY

We will start the day with a tour of the majestic Historic Center of Mexico City, where we will visit the Zócalo, one of the largest squares in the world, surrounded by iconic monuments that reflect the country's rich history. We will enter the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest religious building in Latin America, whose construction began in 1573 and has stood as a witness to the evolution of the city since colonial times. Next, we will explore the National Palace, the seat of the executive power, where the famous murals by Diego Rivera narrate the history of Mexico. From this point, we will enjoy a panoramic view of two of the city's most iconic buildings: the Central Post Office, an architectural gem from the early 20th century, and the majestic Palacio de Bellas Artes, considered one of the most important theaters in the world and home to some of Mexico's most significant cultural expressions. Later, we will visit the National Museum of Anthropology, one of Mexico’s most important institutions. The museum houses an extensive collection of artifacts and objects that tell the story of the great pre-Columbian civilizations of the country. With over 40,000 m² of exhibits, you can learn about cultures ranging from the Olmecs to the Maya and Aztecs, with a special focus on Tenochtitlán, the Aztec city that flourished until the arrival of the Spanish conquerors. Please note the museum is closed on Mondays. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore at your own pace or enjoy the many gastronomic and cultural options the city has to offer. At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel for overnight accommodation

DAY 3 • MEXICO CITY
DAY 3 • MEXICO CITY

We will begin the day with a visit to the Basilica of Guadalupe, one of the most important sanctuaries of the Catholic Church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary under her title of Guadalupe. This iconic site is considered the largest pilgrimage center in Latin America, where devotion and history intertwine in an atmosphere of profound spirituality. Next, we will head to Teotihuacán, which in Nahuatl means "The City of the Gods" or "the place where the Gods are born." This ancient pre-Hispanic settlement was one of the largest and most powerful in Mesoamerica, and its architectural and cultural wealth represents one of the most outstanding expressions of the civilizations that inhabited the continent. Throughout its history, Teotihuacán was a center of both spiritual and material knowledge, and its influence spread throughout the region. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to admire the imposing Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, two of the largest and most iconic structures in the city. Additionally, we will visit the Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl, also known as the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent, and walk along the Avenue of the Dead, the main thoroughfare of the city, flanked by monumental buildings and ceremonial platforms. At the Temple of Quetzalpapálotl, we will observe fascinating murals dating back to the Teotihuacan period, an invaluable visual testimony of the cultural richness of this ancient civilization. After the visit, enjoy a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant where you can savor the local cuisine. The rest of the afternoon will be free for you to relax, explore the surroundings, or continue discovering the area at your own pace. At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel for overnight accommodation.
