Arrival at Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

At the designated time, we will head to Monserrate Hill, where we will take the funicular or cable car to the top to enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the city. Next, we will continue our visit to the Gold Museum, which houses the world's most extensive collection of pre-Hispanic goldwork. We will conclude the tour with a walking tour of Bogotá's Historic Center, exploring major architectural, historical, and cultural attractions such as the Colón Theater, the San Carlos Palace, Bolívar Square, and the Primada Cathedral of Colombia.

Notes:

  • On Mondays, the Gold Museum is closed and will be replaced by the Botero Museum.
  • On Sundays and holidays, there is an increase in national visitors, so it is recommended to purchase the Fast Pass supplement for ascending Monserrate (payment at the destination in Colombian pesos).
DAY 3 • BOGOTÁ

At the designated time, from the meeting point, we will depart for Zipaquirá, located 49 km north of Bogotá, to visit the iconic Salt Cathedral. During the journey, we will enjoy panoramic views of the Bogotá Savannah. The Salt Cathedral is recognized as one of Colombia's most notable architectural and artistic achievements. Built inside a mine at a depth of 180 meters, its interior features a Stations of the Cross, a Dome, a Choir, and the Narthex Complex. Its heritage, cultural, and religious value is immeasurable. Additionally, it is considered Colombia’s first tourist wonder and was a candidate for one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. After the visit, we will return to Bogotá.

At the scheduled time, transfer to El Dorado Airport for your flight to Medellín. Upon arrival at José María Córdova International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Medellín. Accommodation.

At the scheduled time, we will begin our tour of the iconic Comuna 13, a neighborhood that, once one of the world’s most notorious violence hotspots, has reinvented itself as a model of resilience and social transformation through art and innovation. Experience Medellín's advanced Public Transportation System by taking the iconic Metrocable. Once in Comuna 13, a local guide will take you on a tour of its main streets, where you can admire vibrant street art, use the modern outdoor escalators, and enjoy a local snack.

The tour continues to Medellín’s most emblematic sites, also known as the 'City of Eternal Spring.' Visit Pueblito Paisa, a charming replica of a traditional Antioquian town, and Parque de los Pies Descalzos, a great place to relax outdoors. Connect with the city’s administrative center at La Alpujarra and conclude the tour at Parque Berrio, home to the iconic Plaza de las Esculturas by the renowned artist Fernando Botero, a symbol of Medellín. Return to the hotel.

DAY 6 • MEDELLÍN

At the scheduled time, depart from the meeting point to the stunning Piedra del Peñol, located 75 km from Medellín. This majestic rock formation rises 220 meters above a reservoir that is crucial for the country’s energy generation. Adventurers can choose to climb the 702 steps to the top, where a panoramic view of the municipalities of Guatapé and El Peñol awaits (entrance not included).

Next, we will enjoy a traditional boat ride to appreciate the reservoir’s scenery and learn about its history. Afterward, we will head to a local restaurant to savor a typical lunch. Following lunch, we will explore the picturesque town of Guatapé, famous for its houses adorned with colorful bas-reliefs and the iconic Plazoleta de los Zócalos. Return to Medellín.

HOTELS

  • The mentioned hotels are for reference only and are commonly used for this type of tour. However, upon confirming the services, please note that the confirmed hotels may be different but of equal category.
  • Triple Rooms: A rollaway bed will be provided in addition to the double bed. The availability of this rollaway bed is subject to hotel confirmation at the time of booking. If you prefer three single beds, please be aware that this request is subject to the hotel's policies and may result in changes to the room category and price.
  • Cribs and Bed Types: Requests for cribs or specific bed types (Twin, King, Queen) are subject to availability at the hotel at the time of booking.

ITINERARY AND VISITS

CHILD POLICY

  • Infants (under 1.99 years): Only pay air taxes. The exact amount is confirmed when the ticket is issued. However, if the infant requires a special seat or any other equipment for the vehicle, please inform us at the time of booking so we can accommodate these needs.
  • Children (ages 2 to 10 years): Children in this age group pay the child rate.
  • Children (11 years and older): Children over 11 years old pay the adult rate.
